About the Artist

Wesley Ericson: Representational oil painter and muralist whose work bridges public art and community engagement. Through therapeutic, participatory projects, I collaborate with institutions and nonprofits to create murals and other public art installations that foster connection, reflection, and transformation. My practice has been shaped by international residencies, apprenticeships, exhibitions, and mural installations across North and South America.

Mason Talbott: Light activator and space accentuator whose work brings new dimensions out of yours. Using accessible RGB floodlights, I respond to environments and the people in them to set a temporary scene that others can't help but come check out. I see your space, we decide on the focal points, I set and secure the lights, and your nighttime scene is ready for the public to enjoy and respond to.

Wesley Ericson and Mason Talbott are seeking to collaborate with you, and your business for BLINK Cincinnati; that combines painting with immersive lighting. Ericson brings experience in community-driven public art, complimented with Talbott's abilities to transform spaces through responsive RGB lighting that draws attention to key features of environments and businesses. Together, we aim to create a site-specific installation that engages the public and reimagines the space at night during the festival.

With a New York attitude, this mural installation was in collaboration with local Non-Profit, Art-Empowerment and newly inspired, The Halal Wok, a Halal Chinese restaurant located close to the University of Cincinnati in Corryville on Short Vine. Designed by Wesley Ericson and Co-Led by La'De Richardson in the Fall of 2025. Featuring both a traditional Chinese and Arabic dragon, surrounded by common greetings in languages spoken around the globe highlighting the beautiful diversity within Cincinnati.

Using multiple RGB lights, I created a layered shadow effect with my favorite places cast onto a white wall and pedestals. This scene was one part of a larger immersive exhibition experience where people were invited to Be and to Do. Rest and Playfulness are key guides to any experience created as part of Mason's personal practice.

What could we do in your space? Where can the people just ~be~ in your space?

Fall at Its Finest

Using only three lights perfectly placed among the sunflowers and other fall majestics, the home breathes and dances to the tune of the crickets' calls.
What can be activated in your space with a handful of lights? What soundscapes do you imagine dancing alongside?
