About the Artist

Sean is an Internationally known mixed-media artist, street artist, and photographer. He began his art path by attending weekend classes at the School For The Creative And Performing Arts in Cincinnati Ohio. Spending 15 years in Fort Myers Florida home to great men such as Henry Ford, Thomas Edison gave Sean a drive to do big things and keep creating. Artist Robert Rauschenberg came to many of his shows and gave amazing knowledge and direction in the early career days. Moving to Miami in 2002 he immediately became known for his sexually charged, “Warhol like” prints on wooden sheets.

His Rabbit series featuring naked men and women in a bunny head and his massive murals became a part of South Florida culture. His murals were painted on such famous landmarks as Gallery 212, Tobacco Road (Miami’s oldest bar) and Revolution Live’s Greenroom Nightclub on the “Sean Murdock Balcony” (The Bourbon Room from the movie Rock of Ages).

A pioneer of Wynwood art district in Miami at Gallery 212 and Fort Lauderdale at The Bubble. These early days of neighborhood building were hard but rewarding and set the pace for the future.

Sean moved to Vallejo California in 2010 and did art shows in the San Francisco Bay area, Oakland, and Los Angeles for a few years. Helping found the Oakland Art Walk and the The Hub Vallejo a community art and music space he found a new home. Helping a friend run ArtIsMobilUs a school bus gallery he took art to every festival and corner of the area meeting such amazing people.

Sean has been in hundreds of shows since his first one back in 1990 including the Chinese International Photographic Exposition, the Mr Brainwash Show, and the Sea No Evil – Sea Shepherd charity art show in Los Angeles. During Miami Art Week (Basel) since 2009 Sean has been a featured artist in multiple shows.
