About the Artist

I’m a disabled, neurodivergent artist, a bonus mom of two, a partner to my wonderful boyfriend Chris, and a loving daughter, sister, and aunt. My faith in God, my family, and my art are at the center of my life. My home is in Union Township, OH, in the Greater Cincinnati area. I previously lived in Northern Kentucky for 14 years. I love the people of this region, and hope to create art that will be meaningful additions to their homes and offices, and of course, those of any customers in other parts of the country and world who patronize my online shop, www.trueimagetreasures.com.

I create wire and mixed-media functional art and sculptures, home/office décor, jewelry, and accessories, many featuring wire-writing, my specialty. Bringing my creative ideas to fruition is an important part of my life. I’m disabled due to chronic illness, and my capability to work on my art fluctuates as a result. Chronic pain and fatigue are ever-present, so I create as my health allows. Although it slows the process, I often work on my creations as a way to distract from constant pain—I love making art that evokes positive emotions, like joy, peacefulness, empowerment, love, amusement, a sense of belonging, and self-acceptance; and/or helps people express themselves—with jewelry, accessories, and art that sends a message, be it through words, imagery, or both. Focusing on that as I create helps me cope with my medical conditions, and is quite beneficial for my mental health. For me, each of my True Image Treasures creations is a Work of Heart.

A complex, layered, mixed-media work featuring wire-writing. Created for my parents, who were both born and raised in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, this sculpture is an expression of joy and pride in the natural beauty and cultural richness of their home state.
