About the Artist

Steve Schmitt has been a touring musician since the early 70s covering most of the United States. Steve still does 100-150 show dates per year. Growing up in Hamilton, Ohio just north of Cincinnati, Steve started listening to Muddy Waters, Paul Butterfield, Taj Mahal, John Mayall, Eric Clapton and many others developing a love affair of the blues and blues based rock.

Steve's two CDs "Getting Old is Killing Me" and “On a Beach in Mexico” are a collection of Steve’s original blues and blues rock songs of many influences. CDs are available for digital download purchase at I-Tunes, Amazon, CD Baby, and Bandcamp https://steveschmitt1.bandcamp.com. They are available for streaming on Spotify, Pandora, YouTube and other popular streaming sites.

Steve is also the bassist ands vocalist for the Cincy Rhythm Kings, a blues and RnB band in the Cincinnati area. Fresh off their 3rd place finish in the Cincinnati Blues Challenge the band is hard at work finishing their debut CD.
