About the Artist

Sara is a printmaker and sculptor, and the self-proclaimed official abstract artist of NASCAR since 2005. Her prints and sculptures are dynamic in form, space, and mark-making, bringing layers and color together through energetic surfaces and shifting compositions. Sara holds a Master of Fine Arts from Drake University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Art Academy of Cincinnati.

For the past four years Sara has focused on clouds and the awe-inspiring habits of atmospheric formations. This curiosity expanded into new work based on icebergs in a broader reflection on people and community. Considering the way we encounter one another in daily life, Sara began thinking of individuals as icebergs, revealing only a small visible tip while deeper thoughts, experiences, and connections remain beneath the surface.
