I am a Cincinnati-based painter exploring landscape, ecology, memory, and perception through large-scale contemporary painting. Drawing from forests, pathways, overgrowth, and fragmented natural spaces, my work examines how environments are experienced psychologically as much as physically. I’m interested in how remembered and observed spaces shift over time through attention, movement, and layered perception, creating environments that feel both familiar and uncertain.
I received an MFA in Painting and Printmaking from Yale University School of Art and a BFA from Columbus College of Art & Design. My work has been exhibited nationally, including at The Butler Institute of American Art, The Painting Center, and Carnegie Center for the Visual Arts. I am a MacDowell Fellow, recipient of support from the Ohio Arts Council, and Professor of Studio Art at Miami University.
