In 2026, Lydia Shae was a finalist for the Tucson Folk Festivals songwriting competition with her songs "Little Liddie" and "You Don't Love Me Now". Influenced by artists like Brandi Carlile and The Avett Brothers she brings the comfort of her folk roots, and encases it in vivid imagery that marks the sound as hers.
