About the Artist
Julia Lipovsky is an artist and illustrator based in Cincinnati, Ohio. After studying fine art and creative writing at the Maryland Institute College of Art, she returned home to Cincinnati, where she has been involved with many of the city’s arts and cultural organizations.Julia and her husband Jon Flannery of Cryptogram share a storefront studio in Cincinnati’s Northside neighborhood, where they organize community events and often collaborate.
White flowers wiggle in the last moments of daylight, soon to be plunged into darkness. The culmination of months of experimentation, Dusk features a flat illustration amidst an atmospheric gradient of color.

Looking up and inward, Moon Woman reaches to the heavens for guidance, insight, and clarity. An early piece in the collection, this vase helped shape the vision for The Moon, The Garden, and Me, highlighting the relationship between our earthly and celestial bodies.
