Hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio (USA), New Moons has been a regional alt-rock staple since 2015. Led by the song writing and musicianship of front man Curtis Dressman and drummer Alex Drews, the band offers a captivating blend of dreamy pop rock, infused with dynamic elements of Psych Rock, Shoegaze, and Grunge.
The band is known for a tight live performance at top regional events. Including performances at the nationally acclaimed BLINK Festival (3x), Pittsburgh's Deutschtown Music Festival, West Virginia's LivFree Music Festival, Band in Residence at Cedar Point, Springfield's IndieCraft Music Festival, Fifth & Vine Music Series on Fountain Square, Oktoberfest Cincinnati, Taste of Cincinnati, as well as other top regional venues. The band made an immediate impact with their 2015 debut album Glass Planet. The group followed with the rocking EP, Blood in the Waves in 2018 and further showcased their ambition and progression with the 2021 full-length album The Hole. The two self-produced singles in 2025 "The Well" and "Hostage" showcases the band's signature ability to balance atmospheric depth with raw energy, drawing comparisons to genre titans The Smashing Pumpkins, Queens of the Stone Age, and Cursive. The band continues to push their sound forward.
