About the Artist

I am a graphic designer and illustrator based in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 2024, I completed my BFA degree in graphic design at Murray State University. Though I enjoy all forms of design, I am most passionate about branding and identity, photography, and illustration. I truly enjoy developing logos and brand identities that capture the heart and personality behind someone’s vision. My illustration work often includes at least one of the following: nature, cats, or food. For my senior BFA show, I created a concept centered around a cat café, combining my love of art with my passion for cats and food illustration. The project gave me the opportunity to design and illustrate playful cats and delicious treats while also promoting the adoption of shelter cats. Being able to design and illustrate cats and food while also advocating for the adoption of shelter cats was like a dream come true for me.

I am also an oil painter! I most often paint nature and animals. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, learning languages, and spending time with my husband, my three beautiful cats and ball python. My personal and familial connection to Japanese culture and my family’s close ties to Japan have also become an important influence on some of my creative work. I enjoy incorporating Japanese design elements and subject matter into my work as a way of exploring and expressing that part of my family heritage.
