About the Artist

Ben Jason Neal is an art career professional with over 20 years of full-time working experience. His studio, known as Eye Candy, is located in The Pendleton Art Center in Historic Over-The-Rhine Cincinnati where he collaborates with partner and artist, Janet Creekmore. He is passionate about art and has an eye for talent. 

Ben has a BFA from Miami University, Oxford Ohio

Using his knowledge, experience and training in visual composition, Ben has created a new sense of artistic expression in his paintings. In his own words: “I’m looking to present a different point of view in my work. I started painting in a realist fashion early in my career, but my experience working in graphic art taught me that visual intrigue is reached more intensively through color, composition and simplicity than literal interpretation. Using that knowledge in my work, I approach painting in a different way by focusing on the color, texture and light to capture a truer essence of reality within my creations.”  

Ben’s work can be seen throughout the greater Cincinnati area in public locations such as The Contemporary Art Center, POPP=D ART Gallery, POP Revolution Gallery and in the Eye Candy Studio located in The Pendleton Art Center (studio 807).
