About the Artist
Alexis Paige Armes (b. 2003) is an emerging artist based in Northern Kentucky. In December of 2025, she graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a focus in Spatial Arts. Beginning in the Ceramics studio, she found her love of sculpture within clay and began to stretch its limits by including mixed media experimentation. Her often-surrealist sculptures typically combine historical photography, and eccentric sculpts with discussions of women’s and feminist issues at its forefront.
Using ceramic image transfers alongside unique textile and found materials, her work often explores the real-life mental and physical consequences of the virality of hyper-sexual personas in the media and how this connects to the history of an everyday woman’s place in society. Her consistency in meticulous craftsmanship, unique aesthetic, and innovative materials allows her audience to fully submerge themselves in the worlds she creates... while demanding introspection in return.
Armes’ work has been exhibited several times within Northern Kentucky University. Outside of her home university she has exhibited around Cincinnati, Ohio with SOS Art and the Clifton Cultural Arts Center. She has also exhibited multiple times with Cincinnati’s Summer Fair, within their Golden Ticket and 2026 Emerging Artist exhibitions.
